I really am not sure what was ment by journeling a quote but I plowed thru this one right, wrong or inbetween and went on the internet to find quotes on famiy as that is so important to me. I found several which I copied down. I used Basicgrey, Infuse as the paper and after the quotes were on it you could not see much so on the half I did not use as the page I cut some of the flowers out and layered them down the side of my page and at the top I did a half flower with some of the petals falling off and down on the quotes. Gave it a little dimension. A couple of the quotes are as follows: Families are like fudge---mostly sweet with a few nuts Author unknown and the other one I will quote is this Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, closeknit family in another city. For the background on this page I just used plain brown and for the color I used some of my scraps from Daisy Bucket Designs, Southern Belle Collection, Marissa. The rub-on lettering is from Royal & Langnickel Brush. The picture was taken on the Sister Cruise that my four girls went on this past June and surprise, surprise they are all still alive. In this particular picture Susan whom I chose as the funniest person I know was copying her older sister all day long. The lettering says it all NO WAY TO EXPLAIN The journeling goes like this FUNNIEST PERSON AWARD GOES TO DAUGHTER SUSAN There is no way to describe you as you are just pain nuts. You mimic your older sister at breakfast on the cruise in front of strangers. You put on a Grocho Mark mask and Halloween teeth and go to the airport to meet your Uncle & Aunt. You call a new employee at work and ask all kinds of stupid questions in an undescrible voice to see if they are polite and professional. You get on the city bus with your Father-in-law and then pretend you're a hooker, talk in a loud voice & try to pick him up. And this is just when you are sober God help us if you were drinking But I love you and you make me laugh.

For me this was not just the things I loved on this particular day but also on every day of my life. I used a black and white paper with all kinds of writing on it of which I call junked up but oh well I like the paper. The things I wrote and put down was My husband who is still with me after twenty years, My sister and her husband as they are awsome, All of my friends from grade school (we went to a small 2 room country school and all still keep in touch), My five children the greatest in the world (at least on this given day), All the grandchildren they always make me laugh, Just being alive to see all the beautiful things, My Mom today would have been her 105th birthday, The look of wonder and the smile on our greatgrandaughter's face as she looks at Gramps just home from surgery. The picture is of Destiny and her Greatgramps. Simple but fun.
